Donate to SigEp Maryland Beta or To Our NICU Philanthropy Campaign

The Maryland Beta Chapter of Sigma Phi Epsilon at the University of Maryland greatly appreciates the outstanding dedication and commitment of our alumni and friends to the chapter.  Through your generosity and support, we are able to provide scholarships and assistance to our undergraduate brothers in their quest to become Balanced Men who uphold our values and make positive contributions to the community. Furthermore, through our hard work with our philanthropy donations we can continue to raise money for the NICU.

Here is where you can Donate to the NICU in Behalf of "Sigma Phi Epsilon Maryland Beta":

Here is more about donation opportunities that can directly benefit the chapter:

The Maryland Beta Scholarship Funds operated by the Sigma Phi Epsilon Educational Foundation provide the perfect opportunity for our alumni and friends to assist our undergraduate brothers in participating in the various leadership activities and projects that greatly enhance our Brotherhood and recognize the contributions of our most outstanding undergraduate brothers.

All donations are tax-deductible and you can make your donation at any time you wish.  You can make your donation to one scholarship fund or split it between more than one scholarship fund.  Donations can be "one time" donations or set up to be recurring.

Summary of each of the MD Beta Scholarship Funds:

Mark Palmarella Balanced Man Scholarship

Brother Mark Palmarella was a brother of SigEP MD Beta and was instrumental in helping Maryland Beta become one of the best chapters on campus through recruiting Balanced Men. Brother Palmarella passed away in 2017. In honor of his contributions to the chapter and the love all the brothers had for Mark, Maryland Beta has decided to name our version of our national scholarship after Mark. Maryland Beta presents the Mark Palmarella Balanced Man Scholarship each year to an outstanding freshman at the University of Maryland who espouses our values and exemplify the Balanced Man Ideal.  Through the Balanced Man Scholarship, the chapter recognizes the best and brightest of the incoming freshmen class while also setting a positive example as one of the leading campus organizations at the University of Maryland.

MD Beta Leadership Fund

Established by our past Chapter Counselor, this scholarship fund is used to support the leadership activities of our undergraduate brothers.  This fund is used to help provide scholarships for undergraduate brothers to attend SigEp Leadership Continuum Events such as Carlson Leadership Academy (CLA), Ruck Leadership Institute, and Conclave.  Additionally, it can also used to provide scholarships to attend other Leadership events such as the Undergraduate Fraternity Institute (UIFI) through the North-American Interfraternity Conference (NIC) and to help brothers participate in leadership activities and service learning projects such as helping build houses with Habitat for Humanity in Clemson, South Carolina in addition to rebuilding communities in New Jersey after Hurricane Sandy, and in New Orleans years after Hurricane Katrina.
